The Federal Wildland Fire Service Association (FWFSA)

The Federal Wildland Fire Service Association (FWFSA) was founded in 1990 and serves as a political voice for all federal firefighters who operate in wilderness areas. Members represent every level of firefighter employment, from entry-level firefighters to command staff. The FWFSA gives members a platform to engage in active advocacy for educating and raising awareness among those in government who can bring about positive change.

International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF)

More than 85% of the population is safeguarded by the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and its members in towns and cities across the United States and Canada. The IAFF represents over 328,000 full-time professional firefighters and paramedics through more than 3,500 affiliates.
